- The Fenaughty Vineyard was formerly orchard land in the Apple Hill district above the Gold Rush town of Placerville. Before there were grapes, there were apples, peaches, nectarines, and pears. Its situated on the North edge of Carson Ridge at roughly 2800 feet in elevation. Pomegranate and a hint of vanilla finish this lovely wine that will pour beautifully through cold months and transition well into spring.
