All the wines in our AP portfolio are meant to be fresh interpretations of varietals, but of the lineup, Makeshift is our flagship wine. This wine has been grafted so the blend will continue to evolve over years as the vines that have been grafted will continue to produce fruit. With notes of blueberry and chutney, this blend leans on the bolder side with zippy
tannins, highlighting more fruit tannin than oak tannin.

- wine notes
- Each varietal in the blend brings unique qualities to deliver a bottle that delights us with new discoveries in every glass. Primarily composed of Zinfandel and Petite Sirah, we used 20% whole cluster Zinfandel to help deliver a vibrant flavor profile, with Petite Sirah adding a deeper complexity. We also discovered a small planting of the Portuguese grape Souzao on our estate, which provides a seamless tannin structure on the finish. Fermented in open top fermentation vessels for 2 weeks. Aged in a combination of once and twice used French and American oak barrels for 12 months.
