The name pays homage to the abbot who traversed Mt Veeder, through Wooden and Lovall valleys en route to his favorite local watering hole.

- wine notes
- With notes of plum, pluot and sage, this fresh and highly aromatic wine would pair well with butternut squash ravioli. The exceptionally high elevation (~2,000 feet) and cool climate of the Alder Springs vineyard allows for longer hang time which gives the wine a signature bright acidity. For this blend, we took a traditional left bank Bordeaux blend and added Rhone variety, Tannat, to add structure and color, and is a nod to how we do things differently around here. Aged for 14 months, 50% once and twice used barrels and 50% concrete, which is a happy medium between oak and stainless: it maintains a constant temperature without imparting flavor, and preserves aromas and flavors in the wine thanks to micro-oxygenation of the concrete material
